Scholarship funds amount to NOK 1.000.000, – (approx. Euro 125.000,-/US Dollars 150.000,-) will be awarded to Ibsen-related projects worldwide.
The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be awarded for the third time in 2010. We solicit relevant applications, from projects throughout the world.
The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen, and are applicable to individuals, organizations and institutions within the artistic and cultural communities. The applications are subject to scrutiny by an appointed jury.
Previous years, projects from Asia, North-America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received scholarships.
BI Norwegian School of Management offers a four year Ph.D. programme in business administration. The programme features six areas of specialisation: Finance, Economics, Strategic Management, Marketing, Leadership and Organization in addition to Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The University of Agder invites applications for a full-time fixed-term appointment as PhD Research Fellow social work, sociology or adjoining subject areas for a period of three years, alternatively four years with 25% of the time assigned to tasks at the faculty’s discretion, at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology, Social Work and Welfare Studies, located in Kristiansand, Norway.
Erasmus Mundus Coastal and Marine Engineering and Management (CoMEM)
The Erasmus Mundus Master in Coastal and Marine Engineering and Management (CoMEM) is a two-year, English taught international Master’s programme, in which five high-rated European universities participate. As a student, you will familiarise yourself with the key issues involved in providing sustainable, environmentally friendly, legally and economically acceptable solutions to various problems in the CoMEM field.
During the programme, you will study at universities in three different countries. The participating students spend the first semester in Trondheim, Norway, the second in Delft, the Netherlands. During the second year, CoMEM students can either go to Barcelona (Spain), London (UK) or Southampton (UK) for the third semester. After that you will be doing your thesis work at one of the three universities you visited.
The International Peace Research Institute, Oslo and The Australian National University’s Department of International Relations, in partnership with Bjørknes College, are offering a scholarship for Master of International Affairs Specialising in Peace and Conflict.
The program brings together academics at the forefront of international relations, peace, and conflict research from two sides of the globe. Students spend one semester at Bjørknes College in Norway with faculty from the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) pursuing courses in Conflict Resolution and Peace-Building, Ethics of Peace and War, and Gender and War. The international relations courses are taken at ANU in Canberra. Participants have full access to the specialist libraries of the Nobel Institute and PRIO.
The Quota Scheme is Norway’s and NTNU’s largest loan and scholarship scheme for financing students from eligible developing countries, and countries in Central and Eastern Europe/ Central Asia.
You may be eligibile for Quota Scheme support if you are either a student or temporarily or permanently employed at one of the institutions where NTNU has a collaborative agreement. These institutions are mainly found in developing countries or in Central and Eastern Europe/ Central Asia. Please refer to the list of institutions. The European master programme in System Dynamics is the first international master programme in System Dynamics in Europe. It builds on the strengths of four leading universities: the University of Bergen (Norway), Lund University (Sweden), the University of Palermo (Italy) and Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands). The programme is specifically designed for students who are interested in learning how to initiate strategic change in organisations throughthe use of computer simulation models.
DILL is a two-year Master Programme for information professionals who intend to work in the complex world of digital libraries. DILL is offered in cooperation between Oslo University College (Norway), Tallinn University (Estonia), and Parma University (Italy). Students will spend at least one semester at each institution.

The European Master in Animal Breeding and Genetics (EM-ABG) offers high quality training, both in terms of scientific knowledge and didactic skills, provided by six excellent university groups within the EU. The EM-ABG is a response to the need for highly qualified graduates in the internationally operating area of animal breeding and genetics.

The University of Agder invites applications for a full-time fixed-term appointment as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mechatronics at the Faculty of Engineering and Science for a period of two years from the starting date. The position is currently located in Grimstad, Norway. The starting date is negotiable.
The Faculty of Technology and Science has over 1000 students in master’s programmes (Industrial and Information Management, Information and Communication Technology and Mechatronics) and bachelor’s programs (Multimedia, Civil, Computer, Electro, Mechanical and Energy Engineering), and over 160 academic staff. There are currently 20 PhD students in Information and Communication Technology and 6 in Mechatronics.
