Museum Victoria 1854 Student Scholarships for Honours, Masters and PhD Research Project

Commemorating the establishment of the Museum in 1854, the 1854 Student Scholarships aim to:

  • Increase awareness of Museum Victoria’s research in the university community;
  • Train students in fields relevant to Museum Victoria;
  • Provide opportunities for developing partnerships between Museum Victoria and universities; and
  • Enhance Museum Victoria’s collections.

Eligibility

Applicants must be undertaking an Honours, Masters or PhD research project related to Museum Victoria’s collections, or in association with a Museum researcher. Information about the Museum’s collections can be found at www.museumvictoria.com.au/Collections-Research

The ICE WaRM Master scholarship Programme 2010 in Water Resources Management

ICE WaRM offers a scholarship programme to attract high quality international students to education and training in water resources management, delivered by ICE WaRM partner institutions.

The ICE WaRM scholarship programme aims to:

  • provide high calibre students with the opportunity to study with ICE WaRM partners to further their knowledge;
  • provide students with the opportunity to participate in research and advance their scientific knowledge in water resources management;
  • encourage the exchange of ideas on best practice within water-related fields;
  • provide students with the opportunity to participate in presentations, conferences, seminars and forums on contemporary issues in water resources management;
  • provide the opportunity for students from organisations and countries currently facing major water issues to participate in programmes which they may not be able to fund; and
  • demonstrate a commitment to cultural change and diversity and the international sharing of knowledge and skills related to water resources management.

Scholarships for all International Students

The Adelaide Outstanding Achiever Scholarships International (AOASI)

  • Up to nine Adelaide Outstanding Achiever Scholarships International (AOASI) are available to international students from any country undertaking study in any academic discipline except Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
  • Benefits are the waiver of full tuition fees for the normal duration of the program, subject to satisfactory performance.
  • A scholarship recipient completing a three year degree program who is offered a further year in the Honours Program may apply for an extension of the scholarship to cover that year.
  • Scholarships are available only for the first four years of a double degree.

The University of Adelaide offers a scholarships scheme for international students undertaking postgraduate coursework study. The selection for these scholarships is extremely competitive.

The Adelaide Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships International (APCS)

Up to six scholarships may be available to outstanding international students from any country to undertake a postgraduate degree by coursework in any academic discipline. Benefits are payment of 50% tuition fees for up to two years.

The International Peace Research Institute, Oslo and The Australian National University’s Department of International Relations, in partnership with Bjørknes College, are offering a scholarship for Master of International Affairs Specialising in Peace and Conflict.

The program brings together academics at the forefront of international relations, peace, and conflict research from two sides of the globe. Students spend one semester at Bjørknes College in Norway with faculty from the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) pursuing courses in Conflict Resolution and Peace-Building, Ethics of Peace and War, and Gender and War. The international relations courses are taken at ANU in Canberra. Participants have full access to the specialist libraries of the Nobel Institute and PRIO.
