Humanities & Social Sciences Full Fee Bursaries 2010 for Masters Students, University of Exeter
The School is delighted to offer up to 12 full fee bursaries for masters students studying for programmes in one of the departments listed below in 2010/11. These awards will cover either the Home/EU or International fee depending on the applicant’s fee status.
For Home/EU students the awards will be worth £4500, for International students the awards will be worth £11,100.
In which Departments are these awards available?
- Arab and Islamic Studies
- Archaeology
- Classics and Ancient History
- History (including specialisms in Maritime, Naval and medical History)
- Law
- Politics (and International Relations, and Middle East Politics)
- Sociology and Philosophy (including specialisms in the Philosophy of Science/Biology)
- Theology
Who is eligible for the awards?
The bursaries are open to full-time and part-time students from the UK/EU and overseas who are studying for programmes in one of the departments listed above in 2010/11. These awards are open to students studying at both the Streatham and Tremough campuses. For part-time students the bursaries will be on a pro-rata basis.
The awards will only be made to those applicants who go on to enrol within one of the above Departments at the University of Exeter.
How do I apply?
Important note: If you have applied for the AHRC RPM Competition or the Politics ESRC Quota award you will automatically be considered for this competition and you do not need to complete the separate form below.
The application process for both the studentships and the bursaries is the same process:
- You need to complete the Application Form for Humanities & Social Sciences Master Bursaries and submit it to Elizabeth Hull at (huss-pgadmissions@exeter.ac.uk) by 13.00 GMT on Friday 12th March 2010.
- As for all of our awards, you must have also applied to the university via the normal university application form. Please make sure your application includes two academic references. You must have applied to the University and have submitted all your supporting documents by Friday 12th March 2010 to be eligible, so please submit your application form as soon as possible.
Short-listing process
Short-listing for these awards will be done in April and May 2010. We will not be interviewing applicants for these awards. Selection will be done on the basis of the application form received.
When will I hear if I have been successful?
All successful applicants will be notified by the end of May 2010.
